Last year at this time we were dealing with moving to Crystal Lake and the build out of our new space. The difference is we could see an end point. Today, we see restrictions that end on April 7th (based on the governor’s mandate) or predictions that we may be back to normal by July or August. As a result, the board of NOCI is extending our closing until further notice. We are also canceling our April membership meeting and our May agility trial. In the next few weeks we will decide if the May Fun Match and the May Cynosport Rally trial will also need to be canceled.

We are also in the middle of membership renewals. If you haven’t renewed yet, please contact Email: Barb Novak If you no longer wish to be a member, please contact Email: Barb Novak so we can update our roster.

We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates to our website and FaceBook page. We will also ask your instructors to notify you when we are resuming classes.

In the next few weeks, please enjoy the better weather and spend some time outside with your four legged friends. They’re enjoying having all of you at home more often than usual.

Stay safe!

Helping People to Train Their Dogs and Helping
Dogs to Become Canine Good Citizens

Northwest Obedience Club, an all volunteer, homepage-sheltie
not-for-profit organization, has helped individuals to train their dogs to become better household companions, and for the competitive dog owner a place to train their dog advanced skills.

We Offer High Quality Instruction

We Help to Create Better Canine Citizens and More Informed Dog Owners

We Believe In Public Awareness on the Benefits of Obedience Training for All Dogs.

We Practice The Highest Level of Good Sportsmanship in All Areas of Competition

We are a Diversified Organization

The club has grown into an organization that not only helps the pet owner train their dog to obey simple obedience commands, but we also instruct accomplished handlers to gain the skills that they need to enter the show rings, and compete with their dogs in obedience, rally obedience, agility, and many other “dog sports”.

We offer a broad range of classes from Obedience, Agility and Rally Obedience to specialized classes such as Nose Work®.

Our spacious over 10,000 square foot, indoor heated and air conditioned facility offers an ideal space for training. It is fully matted with cushioned rubberized mats, and the equipment meets the standards of the American Kennel Club, United Kennel Club and other organizations.

Northwest Obedience Club sponsors many events such as Canine Good Citizen Tests, Obedience Trials, Agility Trials, Barn Hunt Trials, Official NACSW™ K9 Nose Work® Trials, Tracking Trials, Seminars, and many other events that would be of interest to anyone owning a dog.
