Dog New to NOCI

Steps to Enroll a Dog New to NOCI

We must receive all of the components listed for your application to be complete. Please check your email for confirmation that we have received your application packet. We will let you know if there are any missing components that you need to provide if your application is incomplete.

Step 1

You will need to complete the 3-page NOCI class application which can be downloaded here: New Dog Application. PLEASE PRINT WHEN YOU FILL OUT YOUR APPLICATION! We have received several illegible applications, and if we cannot read them, we cannot process them. Be sure to use an email address that you check regularly so you don’t miss important communications from us. Make sure you add  to your contacts so it doesn’t get lost in your spam folder.

Step 2

Attach a copy of your most recent vaccination record from your veterinarian.  We need a copy that is issued to you by your vet; writing in the dates of your vaccinations is not adequate for verification. Veterinarians are able to print a copy of your vaccine record upon request.

Step 3

Submit your payment. Our classes are seven weeks long, and the fee is $150 for the class. If your dog is from a rescue group, we offer a one-time discount of $75 for your first class when you provide a copy of your rescue paperwork. (Checks will not be deposited until your dog is enrolled in a class.)

Step 4

When you have completed all of your paperwork, including your payment, please submit it via US mail, or you can drop it off at the dog club. We accept checks or cash for applications for new dogs.
Please direct your application packet to:

Peggy Roesner, NOCI Training Hall Secretary
Northwest Obedience Club, Inc.
110 W. Woodstock Street
Crystal Lake, IL 60014

There is a black drop box outside the door for this purpose. (**We do not accept electronic submissions.**) Do not submit your application or additional paperwork via email! You must drop it off at NOCI or mail it to us.  WE DO NOT PRINT YOUR PAPERWORK FOR YOU. You will receive an email confirming the receipt of your packet. Our drop box is not waterproof, so kindly put your application in a ziploc bag prior to putting it in the drop box.

Step 5

When there is an opening in an upcoming session, the Director of Training, Ray Czubek, will contact you to arrange for an evaluation of your dog to determine if he/she is a candidate for a group class and to determine the most appropriate obedience class level. Evaluations take place the week before classes in a new session begin.
